I have lots of spots on my face from picking on pimples I should have left alone, and some brown patches, also the apple of my cheek (right where the bone is) is always bright red!

I am trying to make one for my four year old and I am fairly new to sewing. I know I need the right sized towel and some elastic and velcro, but I am confused about which kind of elastic and velcro I use. I never knew there were so many options. Can someone give me some instructions and suggestions about which type of elastic to use? I also need tips on how to sew the elastic to the towel. Thanks!
