How much do you tip at a small day spa?

I've read you should tip 15-20%, like in restaurants, but the gift certificate I got for Christmas doesn't include tips. If I tip 20%, that will end up being $40! That seems like an awful lot to me.

Also, I'm having several treatments. Do I tip each therapist individually?
Sorry, I should have clarified. The treatments are all at one time – it's a half day appointment with a facial, massage, and pedicure. Three different therapists as far as I can tell.
